My name is Shalayne. I photograph the world around me, and then I blog about it. I don't exactly live in what one would call a "boomin' metropolis", but let me tell you, my tiny little hometown is a wealth of fascinating faces and places. We are predominately Texican, rural, and make the best of what we have, all the while remaining thankful for what we do not have.
I am a proud mother, and I shamelessly exploit my offspring for the sake of art. Not really. She's just insanely cute, and if she can make my day with those big blue eyes, then I like to think she can do that for others, too. I consider sharing her photos my little part of making the world a better place. I also have an incredible, brilliant, devastatingly handsome, hunk of a husband. You'll see him here, too.
I could never adequately explain the feeling I am blessed with when granted the opportunity to photograph others. I believe it's the little, in between moments that make us who we are, and I love to show that in photographs.
